Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Registration for the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning course in November 2024 is open!  To join the training fill out the registration form.

Why do this course?

Development programmes working on inclusive economic growth need to understand the markets they work in, monitor changes, and adapt their work accordingly. This sounds simple but is challenging in practice. What should we be monitoring, measuring and evaluating? What is ‘good enough’ measurement, and how do we attribute change to our programme? And – hardest of all – how do you get decision-makers to change their minds?

DevLearn’s online training course on monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) for inclusive economic growth answers these questions and more, using the DCED Standard for Results Measurement, a practical framework used by over a hundred programmes worldwide.

During this course you will:

The next training is between the 4th and the 29th of November 2024.

How can I find more details about the MEL training?

You can find more details about our Monitoring, Evaluating, and Learning training by downloading our brochure here.

Do you cater for all timezones?

We run webinars twice a week to cater for different timezones, at 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. GMT. This covers most of the world, but if you are living in a timezone very far from GMT it might not suit your requirements. We apologise if this is the case.

Can I do this course if I have a slow internet connection?

We have had participants take this course from all over the world, including countries without good internet access. While you do need internet access, it does not need to be a high-speed network. If you have previously used skype, WhatsApp calls, or Zoom you should be fine.

What times are the webinars?

We run webinars two times a week, to cater to different timezones. You only need to join one of the webinars each week. The webinars will be held on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. GMT, and Thursdays at 2 p.m. GMT, and each webinar lasts two hours. You can convert to your timezone by clicking here.

Can I do this course if I am on a field trip?

Our course timings are very flexible, and if you are on a field trip for a week you can always catch up afterwards. If you are going to be away for most of the month, however, you might struggle to stay on top of the workload.
