Community of Practice for Comic Relief on Access to Housing and Shelter

Comic Relief is a UK-based donor that funds a wide range of national and international NGOs. DevLearn is the Learning Partner on one of Comic Relief’s funding windows, addressing access to housing and shelter.

As Learning Partners, we manage a Community of Practice among grantees, bringing them together to share their experiences and learning. This includes grantees from the UK, Zambia, South Africa, and India, and we place particular emphasis on exchanging knowledge between the Global North and Global South.

Since 2020, we have:

• Run quarterly webinars, addressing topics ranging from the impact of Covid-19, to housing rights, to co-production.
• Developed six-monthly learning briefs, highlighting the learning and experiences of the community.
• Published regular newsletters to the community, sharing information and achievements.
• Managed a two-day remote conference in July 2022.
